CRIS Paddling
CRIS provides daily paddling programs from early April till mid-October each year, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Depending on participants' abilities, both single kayaks and double kayaks are available and can be adapted with stabilizers and paddle supports.
Programs vary depending on participants' desires. Whether you are a participant looking for a leisurely stroll on the lake with an experienced paddler propelling your boat through the water or you are an adventurer at heart who would like to challenge yourself, CRIS has a program to suit your needs.


CRIS provides all the necessary equipment: boats, life jackets, paddles, gloves, sun hats, paddle leashes, bilge pump, spray skirt, whistle, first aid supplies, outriggers, stabilization bags, and paddle mounts.
Daytime trips are time-based and run for 1.5 hours.
Locations for daytime trips:
Sutherland Park, Rotary Beach
Evening trips have a specific objective in mind, either a destination (park, point, river outlet, etc.), or to teach participants new skills, games, or safety techniques. Program times vary for evening paddles, usually lasting between 2 - 3 hours. Paddling programs typically launch from Kelowna, Westside or Lake Country at lake access points.
Locations for evening trips:
Pauls Tomb, Bear Creek, The Bluffs, Okanagan Lake Bridge, Bertram Park, Mission Creek.
INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES:
Wet exits, navigation, bilge pump techniques, rescue techniques.
Occasionally, CRIS provides participants an extended day trip on weekends that accesses one of the Okanagan's smaller lakes.

McCulloch Lake, Oyama Lake, Beaver Lake, Bear Lake.
